- Who is on the other end of the phone?
- An AI voice agent. We've trained it to interview the way a good biographer would: to ask a decent follow-up, to let silences sit, to follow you when a story starts unfolding. It should feel closer to a conversation with a curious friend than a survey.
- Can I do this for a parent or grandparent?
- Yes. This is how most people find us. You reserve on their behalf, we call them at times you agree with them, and the finished books ship to whichever address you choose.
- How long does the whole thing take?
- Most books take four to nine months of regular conversations, then a review period, then about six weeks in the bindery. You set the pace.
- What if we miss a call?
- Move any session with a text. If something comes up, we reschedule. We'd rather push a week than rush a session.
- Who owns the recordings and transcripts?
- You do. Every recording and transcript belongs to you, and we hand them over at the end alongside the printed volumes.
- How does this compare to hiring a professional biographer?
- A traditional ghostwriter or memoirist charges £8,000 to £25,000 for a book of this length, priced against 60 to 120 hours of professional interviewing and writing time. We produce a comparable finished volume for a fraction of that because the interviewing and first pass of editing are automated. An editor still shapes the manuscript before it goes to print.
